Guidance: UK Parliament – deposited papers

1. Deposited Papers are documents that are placed in the House of Commons or House of Lords Library, usually by a government minister.

2. They are described as “a convenient way for the government to make information available without publishing it formally.”1‘Deposited Papers’, accessed 9 January 2023

3. They are different to and separate from those parliamentary papers that are formally ‘laid before Parliament’.
