Registered charity

1. There appears to be no definition of “registered charity” for HB purposes. 

2. For UC purposes (and arguably applicable for HB purposes) a “registered charity” means:1Universal Credit Regulations 2013/376 Schedule 1 para 1 def: “registered charity“

  1. a charity entered in the register of charities maintained under Part 4 of the Charities Act 2011; or
  2. a body entered on the register of charities maintained under the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.

England and Wales

Scotland
